Faith: A Poem for the First Sunday in Advent

Faith: the people of St Nicholas gathering near the font, which reflects the stained glass windows

May faith in our Lord Jesus shine forth in your life,
may your faith be a blessing during sadness and strife

For it’s easy to have faith when blessings abound
but hard to shine forth when troubles surround

For the warm glow of Christmas can make us forget
His passion on Friday when His destiny was met

He died for us when it all looked bad
May it give comfort when next you are sad

May your faith abound all of the week
And provide the direction that we all seek

“God Bless us all each and every one”

Varied Voices: Jessica Tamaski Preaches Sunday At St Nick’s

This weekend is Varied Voices Weekend. The third Sunday of each month features a different preaching voice from the community.

This weekend, we’re pleased to welcome Jessica Tamaski to the pulpit, and look forward to what she’ll share with us (She’s also the driving force behind the annual Chili Supper).
